When an advertiser pays and submits creative, the ad lands in your queue. Nothing serves until you approve it. Review ads under Ads.

Statuses

The review page

Open an ad to see everything you need to decide:
  • The creative: name, destination URL, and every custom field value (images preview inline).
  • The tier and its weight.
  • Billing: the price, subscription status, and renewal date.
  • The advertiser’s name and email.
  • Performance over the last 30 days once the ad starts serving.

Your three decisions

You can leave an optional note on each decision. The note is emailed to the advertiser, so it is where you explain what you need.
  • Approve. The ad goes live. A note is optional.
  • Request changes. The subscription keeps running and the ad returns to Pending. The advertiser gets your feedback and can resubmit. A note is required.
  • Reject. The subscription is canceled immediately, so the advertiser is not billed again. A note is required.

When an ad actually serves

Approval is only half of it. An ad serves only when both are true:
  1. Its status is Approved.
  2. Its subscription is active or trialing.
That keeps the two concerns separate. A paid subscription with creative that breaks your rules does not serve, and an approved ad stops serving the moment payment lapses.

Emails

Revinel sends transactional email at each step:
  • To you when a new ad is submitted and waiting for review.
  • To the advertiser when you approve, reject, or request changes.

Cancellation

Advertisers cancel by replying to any of these emails. There is no self-serve advertiser portal yet, so you handle cancellations from your Stripe dashboard. When a subscription ends, the ad stops serving automatically.
